be distributed to all fifteen schools or only those nominated by you.
Please note that the AIC Schools are entirely independent and perform their own
employment functions. Once an Expression of Interest form is submitted it
is then up to the schools to make contact, dependent upon the vacancies they
have available, or those which become available during the school year.

Community School is located in northern Western Australia in the western
Kimberley. We are located in the Yungngora Community, on Noonkanbah
Station, situated on the banks of the Fitzroy River. Our school is a
proud Aboriginal Independent Community School that caters for students
from kindy to Year 10. We currently have an enrolment of over 90
Indigenous students. Our school has a strong focus on literacy and
numeracy skills and is part of the National Accelerated Literacy
Program. Full training and support in this methodology is provided for
new teachers.
We are seeking a committed teacher to deliver high quality educational
programs to our Indigenous students in our remote context. We are
looking for enthusiastic teachers who are able to communicate and work
well with other teaching staff, Indigenous staff, parents and community
members. Applicants must be willing to work as part of a team in
curriculum development and extra-curricular activities. It is a
condition of employment that teachers are registered with the Western
Australian College of Teachers (WACOT) and have/are able to get a
Western Australian Working With Children Check.

We are seeking a committed teacher to deliver high quality educational
programs to Indigenous students in a remote context. We are looking for
an enthusiastic teacher who is able to communicate and work well with
other teaching staff, Indigenous staff, parents and community members.
The successful applicant would teach a kindy group for morning sessions
and for the remainder of the day work closely with target groups
throughout the whole school to increase literacy and numeracy levels. We
are looking for a conscientious, self motivated and experienced teacher
who would be willing to work across multiple age groups in both one on
one and small groups situations. Applicants need to be able to work
independently as well as in conjunction with staff.
It is a condition of employment that teachers are registered with the
Western Australian College of Teachers and have/are able to get a
Western Australian Working With Children Check.

The Support Unit for the
Aboriginal Independent Community Schools (AICS) is seeking expressions
of interest from qualified people interested in the positions of school
principals and/or teachers within the Aboriginal Independent Community
Schools.
AICS comprises
fourteen
schools situated in various locations around Western Australia. Several
of the schools are seeking principals for a rewarding and challenging
opportunity for qualified people with a range of skills, wishing to work
in the area of Aboriginal Education. The schools are searching for
people who are willing to work in a cross-cultural situation to deliver
high quality educational programs, and to be trained in the delivery of
established programs such as the highly successful Accelerated Literacy
program in place in the AIC Schools. Principals need to be flexible,
have good people skills, experience in the development of quality
education programs and skills in administration.
